Hello Busy Bloggers
So you might have noticed that I haven’t done a blog post in a couple of weeks and I wanted to let you know why, but then that got me thinking that this happens to us all, especially when we are involved in other things and have lives and others things.
So I thought I would do a blog post on how we can actually make the most of our blogs when we are just too busy. Now as you know I am a big advocate of blogging often and consistently. It is in my opinion the maker of a good blogger. But life is tough and with so many shiny things out there on the internet what can we do when blogging really has got too much.

Be Honest and Personal
If you are genuinely finding it hard to sit down and conjure up a blog post, be honest and tell your readers what’s going on. There are usually legitimate reasons why you haven’t had time to pull a blog post together. People love people so be honest, tell it like it is and he presto a blog post is born, simple as that.
Ask someone else to do it!
Now you have two options here. You could pay someone to write some blog posts for you. A lot of bloggers do this, I know because I have written for a lot of different bloggers. A good blog ghost writer can mimic your style and your readers would never know the difference so long as your posts have your style and voice. This is a great way to leverage your time.
Or two… you could ask someone to do a guest blog post for you. Now word of warning, if you are going down the guest blogging route, make sure you know the person and they have a stellar reputation. Having someone on your blog with a dodgy past could do more bad for you than good. But if done in the right way there will be lots of bloggers just itching to write for your audience.
Schedule your posts.
This will take some planning in advance, but if you know you will be tied up with another project for a couple of weeks think about scheduling your posts. You can do this really easily in your wordpress back office.
Re-purpose Old Content
“Re-purposing” is taking your content and using it in a different way, or re-packaging it. You can very quickly create a blog post by using an old content and just putting a new spin on it. I wrote a blog post on re-purposing content. Once you know how to do this properly you can really leverage the content you write and use it over and over again.
Care to share?
This is really simple, on your online travels if you find a video, audio, blog post, quote, etc. Simply add it to your blog and say why you want to share it. This is quick and simple and so long as it is value driven your readers will thank you for the variety, but always remember to credit the original source.
So I said I would tell you why I have been too busy to blog. Well there are a number of things. I have been starting to put together a blogging course for bloggers who have an existing blog, but who aren’t getting the success and results they deserve. There will be more information on that later in the summer.
I am also looking to improve the next blog post challenge, to have some sponsorship and to allow you to make some commissions for sharing the challenge with others. Exciting!

I am also doing some other things as well, but I’d be here all day if I listed them all so I won’t, but needless to say, I am busy.
