Why Bloggers Should Join a Blog Post Challenge (PART 1)

  • *Warning!!*

I can’t be held responsible for the blatant bias or is it biased you will find in this blog post. Of course I'm going to tell you to join the challenge...

I'm the extremely funny, attractive and the talented mastermind behind it!

So let me tell you my top reasons for joining the challenge. Some will be very legitimate reasons, based on facts and figures and good stuff and some will be based on my humble but very important opinion.

Remember when you first started your blog and how pleased and proud you were of your masterpiece. Then you published your first post and waited expectantly for the comments to start flooding in.

I remember it well.

Luckily I found a network of bloggers fairly soon on my blogging journey and I learnt the joys of blogging tribes and syndication that serve me so well to this day.

You see, we all want to have our content found organically in the search engines, but it is also nice to have a little help from others in our niche. Not only does it build self-esteem, but it also starts building your social proof online.

So getting comments from REAL, GENUINE, HELPFUL bloggers in your niche is something you will always get when you join the evergreen blog post challenge.

The Evergreen blog post challenge community is SPECIAL.

I know I'm the founder so you might think I would say that.

But really...

If you are looking for a Facebook group with a difference. Where people don’t just aimlessly spam their content, where you can network with wonderful bloggers, ask questions, have fun and just feel at home. The Simple Blogging Network Community is by far one of the best.

At the end of every challenge I always ask for feedback on the experience of bloggers have taken part in the previous month event.

I do this because I genuinely want to make the challenge the best it can be and every time I hear the same things.

And that is that many of the bloggers gained so much knowledge just by reading other blogs, by hanging around the community and from the monthly webinars. So if you are new or seasoned blogger this is a great place to be.

Your Alexa rank is a measure of how you blog is doing relative to all other sites on the web over the preceding 3 months.

The rank is calculated using a combination of the estimated average daily unique visitors to the site and the estimated number of page views on the site.

The site with the highest combination of unique visitors and page views is ranked #1.

Many bloggers that take part in the challenge see their Alexa rank improve significantly.

The great thing about taking part in a blogging challenge where you are tested to blog as often as you can; is that you start to build up that consistency muscle.

Previously YOU might have experienced procrastination; and that desire to think up every excuse under the sun so as not to put pen to paper or finger to keyboard.

Not only will you learn when and how to find inspiration for your blog posts but you’ll get into the habit of blogging consistently...

....and with consistency comes a quicker pace of blogging.

If blogging right now is taking you forever, blogging daily will certainly help you on your way to consistency.

So there you have my first 5 reasons why I believe you should join the challenge. Check back tomorrow to hear about the challenges benefits of generating more traffic, offering prizes, monthly webinars and the ability to network.
